Zephyrhills SBC#1 and Betmar ‘A’ Team are the participants of the World Shuffleboard League’s first season final.
While Betmar beat the international team from “The Elite Squad” 189 : 181, the team from Zephyrhills advanced to the final, beating Clearwater SC1 184,75 : 0 as they were unable to play.

With these scores, the first decisions have been made:

3rd place goes to “The Elite Squad” with their Team Captain Bernar Borges from Brazil and Adrian Gepel, Marcel Hinkel, Torben Hussmann, Robert Meier and Philipp Schlögl, all from Germany. The youngest team of the WSL showed a brilliant performance and proved that the international cooperation is more than just words.
4th place goes to Clearwater SC1 with Team Captain John Brennan, George Higginson, Steve Raimondi and Bob Weber.

The semifinals were refereed by TD Glenn Monroe from Lakeland (Zephyrhills & Betmar) and Dieter Hussmann (Elite Squad). Glenn Monroe will also be refereeing the finals between Zephyrhills and Betmar, which take place between Friday, 25 March and Thursday, 31 March 2011. Both teams will have to perform three games to determine the Champion of the very first WSL season.
