While the WSL Play Offs are in their final phase, it is time to recognize those teams that did not make it to the final four, but showed the best performance as a team consisting of players from only one country.
The best team from Australia is “Elanora Greys”. Jim Bartlett, Moira Britton, Ken Britton, Jack Connolly, Kevin Habermann, Johanna Haider, Rose Harrison and David Swatton scored an average of 128,75 points in 6 games and finished 12th in the final League Ranking.
The best team from Germany is “Mean Machine”. Team Captain Dieter Wüllner, Adrian Gepel, Marcel Hinkel, Torben Hussmann and Philipp Schlögl scored an average of 169,313 points in 8 games and finished 6th in the final League Ranking.
Both teams will receive a certificate stating their outstanding achievement.
The best US Team will end up being the World Champion and will be recognized as such. Unfortunately there were no pure Brazilian, Canadian or Japanese teams to be recognized. Maybe this changes in the Summer Season 2011 that starts on 1 April.
The WSL rules require that each team needs to perform a minimum of 6 games. As not all participating teams reached the required number of games, the League table before the Play Offs had to be amended. Missing games per team have been added with 0 score. The final Ranking is amended and available at the “World Shuffleboard League” section (see also table below.)
