Lore Wüllner and husband DieterThis week’s Shuffler of the week story is about a real powerwoman: Lore Wüllner from Langenselbold, Germany.
She not only runs her own data processing company, named gefda with approximately 40 full time and part time employees, but also takes care of her household and husband Dieter.
Lore gets her mind off from work when she joins her friends for some miles of Nordic Walking or following husband Dieter to assist on their sailing Yacht. Of course, a good part of her spare time nowadays is reserved for Shuffleboard. She was infected with the Shuffleboard virus by son Sven, who brought her in contact with the game in October 2007.
From then on she became one of the strongest supporters of German Shuffleboard. She participated in all National and International Tournaments since then. That includes Coolangatta (AUS) 2008, Zephyrhills (USA) 2009 and Hohenroda (GER) 2010.
Her participation in the ISA’s latest achievement, the World Shuffleboard League (WSL), proved how quick she became a top Shuffler. She finished her first appearance in the WSL with a fantastic 207 points, which after the first month of that League has been played, is now the official World Record in SpeedShuffleboard.
Follow the scores of the top players and you can see what these 207 points means. This is the new benchmark and will be tough to beat.
Congratulations to Lore for this achievement and best of luck for the future!
