On behalf of the International Shuffleboard Association we send Condolences to the Messier family on the passing of their dad Joe Messier. Joe held the position of the ISA president from 2004 to 2006. Joe was well known in all the countries and represented the USA in many ISA Championships. Joe helped many new shufflers with enthusiasm and showed us how to be a good sport.
Joe has joined his wife Cecile, who passed away one year ago. They are together again enjoying each other. May they Rest In Peace.
We keep the Messier family in our thoughts and prayers.
In Sympathy
Myrna Bilton
ISA President
Joe was an outstanding promoter of bringing in new nations to increase the ISA. Unlike his predecessors he was strongly in favor of creating the World Singles events and reduced size International teams. Joe presided over Brazil’s Inaugural and Brazil’s 1st ISA World Championship in Rio de Janeiro. Rest in Peace.
