Across the globe there appears to be quite a youth movement in shuffleboard, and Dorothy Wagasky in Florida has proved that to be true in the Tampa area. Dorothy has successfully started a shuffleboard program with home schooled young adults who have come to love the sport. This is the first year for all of the participants, but they all agreed they love the game and will continue playing weekly, and they hope to challenge local shuffleboard clubs for friendly competition. Dorothy will continue to work with the kids in an effort to see if this group can grow and attract more young adults in the Tampa Bay area.
