The WSL Summer Season 2011 has reached its final stage.
Starting Saturday 17th the four best teams meet for the Play Offs.

Team “Young Guys & the Old Guy” (UN) plays Team Zephyrhills Four” (USA) and “President’s Choice” (GER) faces “The Elite Squad II” (UN).

In the semifinals each team has to provide 3 scores unti Friday 23rd under the supervision of a referee. The winners advance to the finals which will be played the week after the semifinals. The defeated teams will place according to their scores of the semifinals. As a special situation we have players that are members of both teams that play each other. To avoid conflict of interests these players should not be playing for both teams in the semifinals.

Special prize goes to “The Measurables” (UN)

The international team of “The Measurables” was drawn to be awarded with the special prize of the WSL. The team will be refunded with all its paid money for the provided scores. This special prize was designed to keep up the motivation for all the teams that could not make it to the top four to reach the Play Offs. Even if you are not among the best teams of the competition you still can hope for a bit of luck.
On top of that you become a sponsor of your favorite local club as 50% of your fees goes to the Treasurer of your club. The other 50% are being used to fund the International Shuffleboard Association, Inc. that will use the money to promote the sport of Shuffleboard.

Participating in the World Shuffleboard League (WSL) therefore makes you an even greater ambassador of Shuffleboard.Apart from that the best 8 individual players by their average scores will be awarded points for the official ISA World Ranking.
