Kay Bryant10. November 2010

On the 12th October the Australian Association held its Annual Open Singles Championship at the Elanora courts in beautiful Gold Coast weather.
There were 32 players and after three full rounds of 16 frames we had seven players with equal scores so an elimination round was played in the style of the League with Kay Bryant  winning the event for 2010. This is the second time Kay has won the event so her name will again be inscribed on the perpetual trophy. Kay was also presented with an Association badged clock as a memento of the day. Kay and her husband Ross are regular and excellent players at the Elanora courts and both will be playing in World Shuffleboard League teams which are presently being organised.
The whole day was enjoyed by all with pleasant breaks for morning and afternoon teas and a delightful luncheon put on by the ladies on the Management Committee Marj Govett and Fay Giovine . Like all special events organised by the Association the day was free to encourage as many members as possible to participate.
