Bernar BorgesThe first international team has been set up. There have already been teams comprised of players from different nations, but now the World Shuffleboard League (WSL) moves one step further ahead.

Bernar Borges from Brazil built a team together with his German friends, who have been part of the United Nations Youth Team at the latest ISA tournament. He also would have loved to have the youth players from the U.S. participating, but they have only access to Shuffleboard courts during the summer.
“The Elite Squad” is not only the first “multivenue” team, but also the team with the lowest average age, as the players’ age ranges from 12 to 19 years.

With Bernar being a Brazilian, another country enters the scene and the WSL becomes even more a worldwide event.
It would not be surprising to see “The Elite Squad” playing an important role when it comes to determine the four teams for the Play Offs.
