From 10th to 14th November 2011 TAFISA held its 22nd World Congress in Antalya, Turkey. During its General Assembly the ISA was officially accepted as an international member of TAFISA, the Association for International Sport for All.
Dieter Hussmann, ISA First Vice President, together with his wife Birgitt traveled to Turkey to represent the ISA at this prestigious event and witnessed the ceremony.
The five day congress offered a variety of workshops and speeches and provided many opportunities for active networking.

As you can see from the pictures below the Hussmanns were quite active and successful in promoting the game of Shuffleboard to many of the high calibre participants of the World Congress.

altWilli Lemke, the Special Advisor to the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon confirmed his strong support for the UN teams participating at ISA’s team tournaments. He promised to affirm this in an official letter to the ISA after his return to his office. Also on the picture is the Past President of the German National Olympic Committee, Walther Troeger.
