The Shuffleboard Club is overwhelmed by the amount of support we've had this week. Club members, Friday shufflers, other local organizations, members of the International Shuffleboard Association, and even strangers (now friends) from the community have reached out to us, the Mayor and City Council to share their positive stories about the Club and voice their concern about adding such a large commercial use to the Mirror Lake Recreational Complex. Thank you for speaking up in favor of the Shuffleboard Club continuing to operate from the clubhouse we built 87 years ago.
While this proposal is not currently in next year's budget, last week at the June 16th Mirror Lake Workshop Council voted 7-1 to 'move forward with this project and let the funding be determined' at the special budget meetings. We're watching the budget process carefully and will keep you updated on any developments.
