I have been in office one month now and I would like to let you all know things are moving quite smoothly. I have added new information to the website under the area “ISA” such as Past Presidents, Hall of Fame Recipients, Recent Changes affecting the ISA and the Past Annual Meeting Minutes. Please go there and browse thru the info. I would like to thank the super website team of Dieter Hussmann and Oliver Schwarten for being on top of the operation and constant postings. l would like to also thank the National Presidents and my fantastic staff for giving me their attention and responding to my inquiries. The planning and operational setup of the World Singles Tournament in Dieppe, Canada is on schedule. To date I have the following countries requesting to send competitors: Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, England, Germany, Japan, Norway, Spain, Russia and the United States.

Dieter Hussmann and Glenn Monroe are on top of the game scheduling and Don Breau and Anne Belliveau are the Canadian Host representatives looking out for our interests . Please remember that some critical deadlines have been established regarding this tournament. The first is that all National Presidents must send in their player list along with the names of their backup players to me by 1 April 2011. After this date , all unfilled slots will be filled with new member nations requesting slots to compete in this tournament and then I will pass them back to the National Presidents for insertion of their backup players. The second deadline is for players who have been selected by their National Presidents, they must send in the required $50 ISA Player fee to Beth Allen and also each player must send in $210 to the Canadian Host Club for their tournament fees by 1 April 2011. Failure to do either of these by this date disqualifies a player from competing and the open vacancy will be filled with people on the waitlist. The third is that all players must contact the Holiday Express Hotel in Dieppe and make your room reservations. Cutoff to receive this discounted price is 15 June 2011. Remember this is a World Singles Tournament and the responsibility to make payments and reservations falls upon the player themselves as there are no teams or team captains involved.

We’ll talk again,

Michael Zellner
